Liverpool
Liverpool is one of the UK’s and Europe’s most rapidly changing and dynamic cities, with an estimated £3 billion worth of construction and infrastructure projects planned across the region. The city continues to witness considerable change and improvements to its infrastructure, commercial and leisure facilities. Liverpool has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage City and has been selected as the European Capital of Culture in 2008, an event which, it has been suggested, is responsible for attracting £2 billion of investment to the city.
Skelhorne Street
The 12 storey Skelhorne Street tower scheme is a proposedmixed-use development comprising an hotel with up to 151 bedrooms and 88 luxury apartments, offering spectacular views across the city. In addition to the hotel bedrooms there is the opportunity for the operator to utilise the residential units as serviced apartments, to be operated in conjunction with the hotel.
The Proposal
Knight Frank have been instructed to seek expressions of interest from hotel groups (operators and/or developers) on the basis of an upper-tier budget or full service hotel, for the Skelhorne Street site as outlined in this brochure. The owner’s preference is for the letting of a turnkey hotel on the basis of an institutional lease, for a term to be negotiated, with rent review provisions. Management contract or site sale, will be considered and operators should make clear their intentions towards the inclusion and management of serviced apartments.
